Installation

The README documents install from source; no npm package or Docker image is published for it. Clone it and run the Node entry point:

git clone https://github.com/timkulbaev/mcp-linkedin.git
cd mcp-linkedin
npm install
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "linkedin": {
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["/absolute/path/to/mcp-linkedin/index.js"],
      "env": {
        "UNIPILE_API_KEY": "your-unipile-api-key",
        "UNIPILE_DSN": "apiXX.unipile.com:XXXXX"
      }
    }
  }
}

Both environment variables are required. A Unipile account connects to LinkedIn and handles OAuth, so no LinkedIn token is stored.

API Access:

LinkedIn access is provided through Unipile, not a direct LinkedIn developer app. Sign up, connect your LinkedIn account, and copy the API key and DSN from the Unipile dashboard.

Use Cases

Content Publishing

Have AI draft and publish posts, with a preview step before anything goes live.

Network Engagement

Comment on and react to posts your team wants to engage with.

Company Mentions

Include company @mentions in posts; the server resolves names through Unipile.

Media Attachments

Attach local files or URLs in jpg, png, gif, webp, or mp4 formats.
